Baseball fans hoping to watch the New York Yankees on the Yes Network via YouTube TV were just thrown a bit of a curveball.
On Thursday afternoon, YouTube TV sent out a series of tweets announcing that the company was unable to come to terms on a new contract with Sinclair Broadcast Group, owner of both FOX’s regional sports networks and the YES Network. YouTube cited the “rising cost of sports content” while noting that “several other TV services have also decided to remove FOX Regional Sports Networks from their lineups” (a reference to fuboTV and Sling TV).
The end result? Unless the two sides can reach a last-minute agreement, Fox’s regional sports networks and Yes Network will no longer be available on YouTube TV. As you can imagine, many YouTube TV subscribers were livid. If you’re looking for a new place to watch the YES Network online, Decider’s here to help. Here’s everything you need to know.
IS YOUTUBE TV LOSING THE YES NETWORK?

Under the “Frequently Asked Questions” section, YES notes that they hope they can reach an agreement with YouTube TV, but “based on the discussions we have had to date, we are not optimistic.”
